One of the most challenging aspects of a fire restoration project is that fire damage due to smoke and odors often affect rooms the fire did not even touch. Without seeking professional help from soot removal and smoke removal services, smoke damage caused by left behind smoke and soot can continually cause damage, as well as leave lingering odors that make the property uncomfortable

Of course, there are almost as many processes for eliminating odors as there are odors themselves and many odor control methods focus on simply masking the offending odor. At ServiceMaster Restore, we use an array of specialized products and processes to deactivate offending odors caused by smoke damage on a molecular level.

Air Scrubbers

Air scrubbers use High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filtration to remove particles from the air, enhancing the efficiency of cleaning and clearing the air for safe breathing.

Thermal Fogging

This process neutralizes odor using a strong deodorizer that penetrates everywhere the smoke traveled. It requires the removal of pets, plants and people for a short period of time.

Ozone

Ozone is an oxidizing agent produced by a portable ozone generator that breaks down the molecular structure of odor molecules. Like thermal fogging, this process requires the removal of pets, plants and people for a short period of time.

OdorKlenz® Technology

This environmentally friendly deodorizing process removes odors and air particulates using OdorKlenz air cartridges in traditional air scrubbers and is safe to use around people, pets and plants.
